Super T.I.M.E Force gameplay video: retro shooter action

Thursday, 4th April 2013 17:26 GMT By Sam Clay

Super T.I.M.E Force was featured at this year’s IGF during GDC 2013. During the event, VG247′s Sam Clay caught up with designer, Kenneth Young, who showed-off the retro shooter.

Super T.I.M.E Force started out in development during the Toronto Game Jam – known by those who enter it as ToJam – but has since been selected by Microsoft to debut on XBLA and be further developed for the platform.

In the game, the T.I.M.E. team, which stands for Temporal Inevitability Manipulation Experts, are an elite squad of “time-traveling badasses” who jump through time to “kill stuff that never should’ve happened.”

Such “stuff” includes covert alien invasions, Nazis, boy bands, etc. The only problem with this, is jumping through time can alter pre-existing events.

It sounds amazing, and we’ll be keeping an eye on this one for sure.

No release date as of yet.

    very interesting gameplay!
i really truly dislike 2d games like this because they are old, offer same experience and does nothing innovative.

But FEZ and this are the only two things that plays 2d but offers innovation.
I like how you time rewind in this game, it feels like Blades of Time which I truly love that rewind feature.

Man this game would play so cool if it’s co-op!
just imagine waiting in line for 15seconds for a player’s timer to finish or wait for a player to die, then you pick your character. It would be so badass!
