Sony has dissolved Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, Asia and Pan-Asia into a single entity, dubbed Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia.

Sony exec Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the merger on Twitter:

TheSixthAxis reports that the new outfit will be headed up by president Hiroshi Kawano and is said to have been pared down to a single arm to increase the company’s focus on publishing and development.

@LB I hadn’t thought about it, but yeah it does. I’m assuming it’s still the golden diamond logo though right? Unless I’ve missed something.

    It’s not an April fool.

I don’t think the business side has much impact on the developers. There are no developer’s jobs cut.
