Path of Exile expansions expected once a year

Path of Exile will receive expansions for somewhere between five and ten years, Grinding Gears boss Chris Wilson told Joystiq at GDC. The dungeon crawler is still in open beta, but is expected to hit version 1.0 later this year, and will add an extra story act at that time; Wilson said that kind of expansion is “probably a once a year thing”. Check out the free-to-play RPG here.

I like this game. But not enough to keep me playing and not enough to lure me into spending money at their store. Ironicly, if the game was purchasable for 20usd, I would own it.

It’s a great game, but it lacks a good story so I lost interest by the time I was in act 3.

@3 Just drop texture quality to normal, It looks same but you will get more fps.

@1 Ironically this game was “purchasable” for that 20 USD before open beta.

I find shadows/lighting the first thing that needs reducing to improve fps in most games. I think I had to that in Exile too.

@Tavarish I didn’t know that. For 20usd I would deffently own it. Unless it was just for some sort of “Premium” membership that granted more privligies. I don’t like that type of thing.

@5 What are you talking about? This game was never playable offline and probably never will be. So there is no “owning” it.
