Company of Heroes 2 closed beta begins for pre-order customers

Tuesday, 2nd April 2013 16:37 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

The closed, early access beta phase for Company of Heroes 2 has gone live, SEGA has announced. It includes competitive multiplayer and skirmish gameplay, access to six maps, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 competitive gameplay, as well as the ability to play alone or with teammates against the AI. Players also get access to the first 40 levels of progression, and the ability to customize their loadouts using the new Army Customizer. A second beta phase will be made available in the coming weeks, and a wider audience will get a chance to take part. The closed beta is being hosted on Steam and utilizes Steamworks match-making and friend lists. The game is out on PC in June. A couple shots are below.

Yeah, if you pre-ordered on Steam… It’s a mess. I pre-ordered on Origin (it’s much cheaper since Origin uses my local currency and Steam operates in euros) and not a sign of beta key. Meh.

“The closed, early access beta phase for Company of Heroes 2 has gone live, SEGA has announced.”, yeah. Nope. Its not. Maybe on top of hour, 6 PM GMT, but as of now there is no beta to download.

Even CoH 2 official twitter said 29 minutes ago that it will go live on 2nd of April, PST, but didn’t give out any time.

Edit: Now it’s live! Just restart Origin / Steam to download!
