Hawken trailer shows off multiplayer environmental destruction

Here's something a bit experimental from GDC - a PhysX tech demo of environmental destruction in Hawken's multiplayer, powered by GPU Rigid Bodies. There's some debate over whether this could actually work on current network architecture or if it is naught but a beautiful dream, but the idea of mechs destroying the ground underneath each other to create new paths is pretty sweet. Hit the break to see it, and if you're a fan of Hawken's mechtastic action, check out Sam's Oculus Rift play session from GDC 2013.
