Mechwarrior Online, that, you know, blowy uppy PvP game that is currently in beta, will be achieving full launch statues in the relatively near future, Joystiq reports developer Piranha Russ Bullock telling them. So expect that to happen by September 21. In the meantime, just play the game.

I wanted a Mechassult from the Xbox one type gameplay. The sim stuff is overly complex and boring, imo. I tried it, but I just can’t get into it.

I can understand that due to the amount of Mech games which allow for mechs that bounce around Manga/Anime style that have been released.

Personally, I like it since I use to play Battletech and the old Mechwarrior games, so I’m use to the slow, tank style of gameplay. It makes it more tactically interesting for me. But, it comes down to personal taste in the end….

Only thing I complain is that there is no tutorial in the game. And before you call me the spoiled new generation of hand-holding, this game is really complex, especially to people who never played the Battletech games like me. I had to watch youtube guides on how to play it, after you discover how everything works the game is awesome.
