Hotline Miami 2 stays in early 90s, will absolutely end the franchise

Developer duo Dennaton never intended to make a sequel to Hotline Miami. They were simply crafting some DLC that morphed into one. But This is it. No more after this one, which Joystiq says will also be in the early '90s.

Dennaton tells the publication that the first game's protagonist ("Jacket") will make an appearance, but only in a non-playable form. The game will feature plots that run parallel to the original game. Also, the sequel might be available on PS Vita as soon as it launches on PC. The original game is being ported now by a company called Abstraction. Devolver Digital will publish.
