Skullgirls Indiegogo tops $750,000, unlocks fourth DLC character

The crowdfunding campaign for Lab Zero Games’ Skullgirls has only a few hours to go, but it’s still making rapid progress. By reaching $725,000 fans ensured the team will release yet another DLC character, bringing the total so far to four – not at all bad for an initiative originally planned to produce just one. The new character will be called Robo-Fortune, and since the campaign has now attracted a whopping $766,634, she’ll get her own stage and story mode too. The most recent milestone also means Mane6 will receive a free copy of the Skullgirls engine.

Thanks, Siliconera.

It’s awesome that Lab Zero Games got tons of support. I am very surprised they were able to hit all stretch goals! With tons of work ahead of them I hope Lab Zero Games can deliver Skullgirls to Steam so I can support them myself.

One thing I also noticed was they were giving their game engine to Mane6 to make the MLP fighting game. Does this mean we can see MLP: Fighting is Magic right next to SF4 in Evo 2014 fighting game playlists? haha
