Ouya: GAME to stock console in UK, pre-orders open now

Thursday, 28th March 2013 11:29 GMT By Dave Cook

Ouya will be available to buy in the UK, thanks to high-street retailer GAME. You can place your pre-order for the android-powered console now for £99.99. You can also pre-purchase controllers for £39.99.

You can view GAME’s Ouya console page here, and the controller page here.

While Ouya is shipping consoles to Kickstarter backers from today, there is no general UK release date so far. It will drop in the US around early June across several retailers including Amazon, GameStop and Best Buy, where it will RRP at $99.99.

We’ll have more once a solid UK release date is confirmed.

Thanks CVG.

It’ll be interesting to see what hacks come out for this. With a quadcore Tegra 3 CPU in there I’d be surprised if its a slouch. The games I’m not fussed by. I have the Nexus for those. But a super low power HD video player running Linux would be right up my street :)
