Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z comic scenes revealed, Inafune discusses star

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z developer Keiji Inafune revealed fresh details of his zombie-action romp at GDC, and showed off some of the game's comic book artwork.

Speaking with Game Informer, Inafune explained that the game would bear some comical and more stylised elements than its predecessors.

Said Inafune, “A lot of people know me for my zombies game Dead Rising. I believe Dead Rising has a comical element in it. It’s not just about killing zombies but it can make you laugh and smile. I think zombie games need that atmosphere, and you’ll see moments where you think it’s a little bit funny.”

Th game's hero Yaiba has lost an eye and some limbs, which have been replaced by cyborg implants. He's out to kill Rya Hayabusa for some reason. The GDC demo shows Yaiba leaping across rooftops fighting zombies with his blades. It has a similar art style to Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is heading to PS3 and Xbox 360 some time later this year.
