Black Ops 2 PC gets micro-payments from April 12

Batten down the hatches, keep your wallets safe and put that chain on your door for the microtransaction bogeymen are coming to rifle through your pockets in search of your loose change. That's right, micro-payments are coming to Black Ops 2 next month.

PCGamesN reports that yes, micro-DLC is coming to PC, just like it did on Xbox 360. Did the world end? Did everyone force themselves to buy any of it? Well no, of course they didn't because it's a choice silly.

There will be nine 'Personalisation Packs' available from April 12, each housing three calling cards, three new reticules and a weapon skin. They currently cost 160 Microsoft Points a piece, or around £1.40 in real money.

The 'Extra Slots Pack' costs the same and offers players a total of ten extra create-a-class slots and more storage space for your clips and screenshots.

Finally, the Flags of the World Packs costs 80 MS points on Xbox 360 although I suspect Activision will round it up to a quid on PC. It gives you calling cards of pretty much every world flag.

From April 12 Nuketoen 2025 will be free to all, while Nuketown Zombies costs 400 MS Points currently. We'll update with PC pricing once it happens.

What do you think of the above? Shameful cash-grab or an optional pleasantry for anyone willing to fork over the price of a bus fare?
