Firefall's latest major patch detailed, trailered

Firefall's latest major update went into beta testing during PAX East this weekend, kicking off the Chosen invasion, adding a ton of dynamic and local events, and much more.

In the latest update, the Chosen forces are "pushing out of the Melding and systematically bombarding strategic locations with new siege engines, troops and tactics". Locations such as Thump Dump and Sunken Harbor are at risk and must be defended.

30 new dynamic objective-based combat scenarios, called ARES missions, have been added, and existing dynamic events such as instanced encounters inside Melding Tornados have been upgraded.

The update changes up the progression system and improves crafting as well. Full patch notes are available here, or check out the trailer below.

Firefall is a free--to-play MMO shooter currently in closed beta.
