Strider hints pop up online, suggest digital release

Classic Capcom property Strider has been uncovered by Internet sleuths. NeoGAF users purportedly found some Xbox Live Arcade boxart as well as a Steam achievement, suggesting the ninja property may be rebooted or revived with a digital release. Remember, Capcom is bringing a couple of unannounced games to PAX East this weekend, although we expect to see some Dungeons & Dragons titles, too.

Yes, please! Strider needs a come back! Also how about Maximo or Ghouls and Ghost?

Strider = boner
One of my favourite games and characters ever.
Let’s hope they don’t reboot it.
Better dead than rebooted like DmC.
Strider needs to be Japanese and at 30 FPS.

Guh. The last thing we need is a 3D reboot that robs Strider of all of its colour and completely rapes everything of worth from the IP. Strider was a brilliant arcade game that I still occasionally play on MAME, and I suspect that it will be the best version of it for a long, long time to come.

I’m just tired of seeing colourful old games reduced to the grey and brown nonsense that seems so popular these days.
