Call of Duty Championship 2013: UK teams emerge victorious from European qualifiers

Call of Duty Championship 2013 qualifiers are well on their way, as the European leg saw UK team Fariko.Dragons and Irish squad Epsilon emerge victorious. Both teams have earned a place in the Call of Duty Championship finals, taking place in Hollywood, California April 5-7.

The Electronic Sports League’s finals took place in Cologne, Germany over the weekend and saw Epsilon pipping Fariko.Dragons to first place in what was said to have been a tense showdown. They beat teams from Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands and Sweden to earn their place in the finals.

They will now go on to compete for the $1million prize pot in Hollywood next month, and will fight among 31 teams all clamouring for the spoils.

Last week Australia and New Zealand qualifiers Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports, were crowned last week and join the final roster.
