Xbox Entertainment Awards announced, voting open to public

Microsoft has unveiled its Xbox Entertainment Awards, a ballot that covers games, movies, music and more on Xbox Live. Voting is open now and the shortlist rests squarely in the hands of gamers. Cast your vote today.

In a note passed to VG247, Microsoft confirmed that you can place your vote over at the official ballot page from now until March 26, and decide on the following categories:

GAMES

  • Best Game
  • Best Family Game
  • Best Xbox LIVE Arcade Game
  • Best Add-on (or Consumable)

TV & MOVIES

  • Best TV Show or TV Series
  • Best Movie
  • Best Superhero Movie
  • Best Comedy

MUSIC

  • Best Album
  • Best Single
  • Best Artist
  • Best Music Video

Everyone that votes will be able to enter a prize draw for a chance to win Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 4 320 GB console, Kinect sensor, Xbox LIVE Gold One Year Membership, 2000 Microsoft Points, games and more.

Finalists will be announced on April 9, final voting will take place on the Xbox Live Dashboard on April 16 and the final winners will be announced on April 17. Everyone who votes in this face will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win four VIP passes for gamescom 2013.
