Rain screens show how downpours reveal the hidden

Look closely at these Rain screens and you'll spot our protagonist, along with a couple of oh god oh god oh god what are those make it stop.

These screens, taken from the Japanese site, come in pairs - one showing the streetscape in dry weather, and then again with the rain falling. Invisible entities like our hero (and whatever the heck those things are) are revealed as spaces the rain does not enter. That's rather clever.

Wel, I mean, I thought it was neat until I saw those things. Sony didn't say this is a survival horror when it announced the Studio Japan title at gamescom last year, but gosh.

According to Joystiq, the Rain Facebook page offers the following descrption of the pairs: "Sometimes rain reflects loneliness." "Sometimes rain brings melancholy." "Sometimes rain soaks through the heart."
