Call of Duty Championship: Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports take ANZ finals

Two teams won through the Australian and New Zealand regional finals on Friday to secure a place at the Call of Duty Championship in Los Angeles in April.

The finals took place over eight hours in Sydney last week and produced two champions - Team Immunity and Mindfreak eSports.

The eight team members will be flown to the US to compete against 30 international crews, and also took home cash prizes.

"It’s a great feeling to take out the Call of Duty title in Australia, and we can’t wait to go to Hollywood and play for the big bucks against the world’s best," Immunity captain Albert Nassif said.

The inaugural Call of Duty Championship takes place from April 5 through 7 at the Hollywood Palladium Theatre, and will offer $1 million in prizes.
