Blizzard exec teases PAX East reveal

Tuesday, 12th March 2013 21:45 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Blizzard’s chief creative officer Rob Pardo has dropped a tease on Twitter, presaging an expected new game reveal at PAX East this month.

“PAX East next week and I’m still not ready with the announcement for our next game. Work work work,” he said.

“And no it’s not Titan,” he added. “Other than that, feel free to guess.”

Titan is the name of Blizzard’s long-expected second MMO.

Pardo also linked to an article on Blizzplanet, where the site displayed an invitation to see “something new” from Blizzard at PAX East.

We’ve seen this invitation before, but this is the first time Blizzard has confirmed it’s definitly a new game; last time, it said only that it was not “a sequel, expansion, or that rumored next-gen MMO”.

It’s likely to be Blizzard All-Stars, a MOBA from the team behind the game which spawned the mod which went on to found a genre, despite Pardo’s suggestion that Blizzplanet’s prediction was just a guess.

PAX East runs March 22 through 24 in Boston.

Thanks, Johnny.

The invite itself had a styled background as a piece of parchment with a red seal: http://www.blizzplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/paxeast.png
commonly associated with Diablo. Maybe the messaging is simply intended to prompt memories of existing, recent releases from Blizzard – though that really fell on mute response, at the PlayStation Meeting – but from that, to Blizzard All-Stars…Who knows. I still want to see Ghost!

Unless it’s Ghost, who cares. Blizzard continues to fail and just ignores constant questions about Ghost. It shows how pathetic they are now that they are just ignoring a game everyone wants to make crap no one cares about.

They wouldn’t hype the shit out of a shitty MOBA game. I can’t figure out why people play that crap.
