Torment: Tides of Numenera Kickstarter hits $2.1 million

The Torment: Tides of Numenera Kickstarter has reached $2,110,638, after reaching $1 million within seven hours and two minutes. The initial funding goal of $900,000 was met – and then some – Wednesday evening, and now, thanks to 38,203 backers, the project’s funding is racing ahead and an enormous pace.

“As much as we were prepared for this Kickstarter to be somewhat overwhelming, we’re still recovering from the unexpected flurry of activity and are working hard to get back on top of things,” noted inXile in the latest update to the project.

The updates continue with the first video in a series released, along with new stretch goals and the addition of PayPal. More gifts have been added to the $28 tier and the $20 tier has sold out completely.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is the fastest Kickstarter to reach $1 million since the crowd-funding site launched.

@1 Yeah. It’s already fixed – and I was out sick for two days. Bloody Walmart flu.
