Paradox releases demo for The Showdown Effect

The online 2D action extravaganza The Showdown Effect now has a demo that you can download directly from Steam. It'll show you the ropes of the game in a solo tutorial so you'll have some idea of how the game will work, but you won't be able to go online without buying the full game.

Paradox describes The Showdown Effect as a game that "throws players into a no-holds-and-no-oneliners-barred brawl for survival, placing them in the roles of 1980s action hero archetypes armed with a terrifying pile of weapons." If that doesn't sell you, you can now let the free demo try to convince you it's worth your time.
