Halo novel to help unlock "additional content"

343 Industries and Tor Books have teamed up with a cryptic promotion for Greg Bear's upcoming novel, Halo: Silentium. From now until the novel's launch on March 19, the developer will release "encrypted communications" via Halo Waypoint bulletins and forum posts. Clever fans will be able to use these to unlock "additional content" of some kind. There will be also be some kind of data "embedded" in both the physical and e-book versions of thew novel. Huh. Silentium is the third entry in the Forerunner Saga series.
