Torment: Tides of Numenera reaches Kickstarter goal in six hours

We reported earlier that the Kickstarter for Torment: Tides of Numenera, the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment by inXile, was off to a fast start, but it’s managed to actually increase its pace since it went live six hours ago or so. It has already reached its $900,000 goal and its bounty continues to increase.

We previously spoke to the developer about how the player influences the way the game unfolds through its Tides system. Check out our interview here.

In-fucking-sane!

Like with all Kickstarters I’ll hold off until the end and then pledge.

In other news Death Inc is flopping and couldn’t even get 150k in 30 days.

Sad. I blame Molyneux appearance in pledge video.

@2 Yeah, that’s a real shame. Backed it since day one.

Great news for InXile.

They got over 3x the required funds for Wasteland 2 ~ and the way things are going with this new kickstarter, they look likely to get at least 5x as much.

In the time I read their Kickstarter page, they earned $30,000. Over the goal. Mfw.

@2: Add Project Awakened to the list as well.

And one day later, it’s doubled it’s goal. Crazy.

Shame Death Inc didn’t do as well, was really looking forward to that. But Torment is very much an insta-back for me.
