Mega Drive chip-tune album brings back nostalgic feelings

Chip-tune albums are commonly based on NES sound effects, but today you can wrap your ears around an album created entirely with Mega Drive / Genesis sounds, courtesy of composer Ario.

The album is entitled 'Vurgon' and can be found on Ario's BandCamp profile. It's a bleeping, blopping mix of slow atmospheric tunes and the brash punchy synth effects you could hear in games like Road Rash. It's got a nostalgic, dirty vibe to it and should appease any fans of all things Sega.

You can stream the album for free via the link above or set your own price for a full download.
