Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is heading to PC, PSN and XBLA this Summer, courtesy of Activision. We’ve got the debut trailer right here.

Out of the Shadows is an action game based on the new Turtles cartoon currently airing on Nickelodeon. It’s the first part of a planned trilogy from Activision.

Thanks AGB.

I thought they were cutting back on the licensed games, btw that does actually look decent.

The Turtle designs looks very different from the TV show. They have nose holes, for one.

Also: PEGI 16? Are we sure this is based off the Nickelodeon show…? I know it has the Nickelodeon logo at the end, but I believe they bought up the whole franchise. I believe they’re simply the ones who licensed it to Activision.

I want to be excited for a good TMNT game, but I’m just confused at this point. :p

This might be okay. Not fussy on the new show, though. Very ’80s Saturday morning show. The ’03 TMNT was much more interesting plotwise, and wasn’t so bunged up with simplistic, black & white plots. I know it’s supposed to be ‘for kids,’ but kids are smarter than that. (Even smarter than adults, going by what gamers seem to enjoy plotwise.)

Still, I do like the franchise. If the gameplay is there, I might look into this one.
