Assassin's Creed 4: first screens appear

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has received its first batch of screens, courtesy of Ubisoft. They show off deep sea pillaging, sword and revolver combat, whale-watching and Edward Kenway free-running through trees.

We've got the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag reveal trailer here. It's full of action, pirate sex and more, all told by the ruthless Blackbeard himself.

Below you can see Edward Kenway strutting his stuff below, engaging guards in combat using his quad-pistols and dual swords, diving below the waves to collect treasure and more. The shots look lovely, but bear in mind the game is also coming to PS4. What do you make of that?

What do you think? Is the October 29th release date too soon after Assassin's Creed 3? Let us know below.
