Slacker music app hits Xbox Live US & Canada

Slacker is a new music app that lets US & Canada users listen to millions of songs via Xbox Live Gold for free. Think Spotify but less green.

Game Informer reports that the app went live last night, and includes millions of songs off the bat, as well as radio station.

Slacker chief marketing officer Craig Rechenmacher said in a statement, “Slacker brings the world’s most complete music service to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in the US and Canada for free.

"Whether you’re into country, hip hop or want to listen to the soundtrack from your favorite game, Slacker’s team of music experts makes it easy to find and discover the world’s best music from the comfort of your living room.”

The site adds that Destructoid's Dale North runs a radio station dedicated entirely to videogame music via Slacker. Let us know if you check it out.
