PS4 user interface detailed in high-res images

Cease your pathetic PhotoShop efforts on grimy screengrabs from the PlayStation 4 reveal; here are some high-resolution shots of the new console's user interface.

The new interface replaces the XMB, which served both the PlayStation 3 and PSP as well as a number of Sony mobile devices. You can see a fairly similar interface will be available via mobile devices, although it's unclear if this is a standalone app or a Remote Play set up. It's also not apparent whether these are mocks ups or images of the operating system in its current developmental stage.

The emphasis on social and streaming is readily apparent in the interface shots, and what's particularly interesting is the way the player is pointed at new content in a social context; it might go down a little better than the Xbox 360's current ad-heavy tile dashboard.

I didn't shrink these at all; be patient while they load, so you can see all the details.

Thanks, Gematsu.
