Wii Mini confirmed for UK release

Wii Mini has been confirmed for a UK release by Nintendo. The console was unveiled last year for a Canada-only launch.

In a statement sent to VG247 today, Nintendo confirmed the console would hit the UK on March 22nd.

It comes after Nintendo staunchly said Wii Mini would not hit the UK.

The red and black console comes packaged with a red Wii Remote Plus and a red Nunchuk controller, but no online capabilities, as confirmed last year. Nintendo said that not everyone needs the online option.

Nintendo is also adding Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario to its list of cheaper 'Nintendo Selects' titles, in time for the Wii Mini UK launch.

No pricing was given in Nintendo's statement, but the Canadian model launched at $99.99.
