Mass Effect 3 DLC, Gears sale, more coming soon to XBL Marketplace

The Ultimate Game Sale isn’t the only thing Microsoft has cooking for its XBL service. Starting today, you can download Mass Effect 3: Reckoning for free, pick up Far Cry 3 through Games on Demand, and get discounts on DLC for Gears of War 3 and Gears of War 2. There’s more heading your way though, and to find out what it is, all you have to do is hit the break.

Other Games on Demand titles which hit the service today are: Forza Horizon, Hitman Absolution, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, DiRT Showdown, and Zumba Fitness Core.

Goodies, such as Runner 2, the Star Wars pack for Pinball FX2 and Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds land on the service tomorrow, February 27, alongside the Guardians of Middle Earth: Survival Mode & Goblin-Town Map.

Mass Effect 3: The Citadel lands on XBL March 5, as does The Cursed Crusade and Harley Pasternak’s Hollywood Workout through Games on Demand. Dollar Dash hits March 6.

On the Gears of War front, the following 50% discounts start today and run through March 4:

    That’s lousier than I expected. You can’t beat free on that one DLC, and that’s really about the only standout. I may grab it today, even though I don’t own the game, just in case I end up buying it at some point. Everything else is not exactly cheap, or is just crap no one wants.
