Chinese man hospitalised after heavy weekend of gaming

Kotaku is carrying a report of a Chinese gamer who was seriously ill following a gaming marathon. The 36 year-old man spent the weekend of Chinese New Year gaming all night, sleeping all day, and drinking with friends in the evenings, and suffered a minor stroke thereafter. As always, it’s not video games that are the villain here, but the extraordinary periods spent on one activity. Moderate your gaming hours as you would any other pursuit, with plenty of breaks, sensible sleeping and diet, and a good life balance. End mum mode.

I once played Gears 2 coop with a friend, who had come over to my place, all night. That was the best night i had. But then, i didn’t do it again since it left me a little groggy the next few day, for skipping a single nights sleep.

Like Brenna said, I am surprised that some humans are born without brains.

Games had nothing to do here… its cause he was drinking and all that other stuff (most likely unhealthy eating habits)… dude could have been watching a movie and had a stroke.
