Retro City Rampage heading to WiiWare next week
Vblank Entertainment’s Retro City Rampage will be ready to bring its numerous gaming references to Wii next week.

The 8-bit adventure, which plays like the original Grand Theft Auto after a major drug binge, will be available for 1000 Wii Points (around £7/€10). Although a Wii U release is yet to be confirmed, cunning gamers will realise the game can be accessed through Wii Shop Channel on the new hardware.
Support for the Wii Remote, Classic Controller and GameCube pad is included. Bonus content called “ROM City Rampage” will up the ante on old-school graphics, letting players experience the title in NES style. PC users will also get this update for free.
Dave enjoyed the game upon first release and wrote up his thoughts here. Check it out!
Thanks, Eurogamer.

“which plays like the original Grand Theft Auto after a major drug binge”

Yeah, once a designer goes totally ADD two things can happen: Either it’ll be fucking adorable or fucking exhausting. Retro City Rampage is definitely the first one, for me.
