Games on Demand sale coming to Xbox 360 next week
Microsoft has announced its Games on Demand Xbox 360 service is gearing up for a run of huge discounts. Prices will be slashed from February 26 to March 4, although we are yet to find out what reductions will be made.

The digital service often prices games too extensively, meaning many users will simply order elsewhere. Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, revealed the upcoming sale on his Twitter account.
Here’s the list of participating games (as OXM pointed out, “Revelations” is probably misplaced Assassin’s Creed DLC):
Assassins Creed
Assassins Creed 2
Batman Arkham Asylum

Borderlands

Major Nelson claims some games could receive up to 85% off over on his blog. I’ll wait to see which games before being unfairly cynical.

This is because of the Red Dead and Skyrim backlash that Nelson got last week.

I’m checking out PSN now and jesus christ….12 euros for Arkham City. Only 10 for Darksiders 2 and Sly HD Collection. It’s fucking time MS starts to do this too.

Too little too damn late MS…. I have since moved on to Steam and so has many others. A real shame that its taken them so long to get it together, i wonderful how great the sales will actually be though.

This reminds me of this article:
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-11550-Microsoft-Defends-Games-on-Demand-Pricing-and-Staggered-Releases.html
Most of all this part:
“It’s a successful part of our business, we’re very pleased with the growth and it continues to do really well. Clearly there’s an audience out there who are happy to purchase a product at full ERP six or so months after [its retail release]. It’s a successful model, so why change something you don’t need to?”
