Yoshida will be "heartbroken" if PS4 launches without Vita Remote Play

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has said he expects Vita Remote Play to be functional for most PlayStation 4 games at system launch.

"We are saying virtually every PS4 game will be playable on PS Vita via Remote Play," Yoshida told press at a round table following the PS4 reveal, as reported by Gamespot.

"I would be heartbroken if it doesn't day one. On day one, my expectation is that we have to have all games work on PS Vita."

Yoshida wasn't able to comment on rumours that newly announced premium network services like Vita Remote Play, spectator mode, and remote assist will be locked behind an Xbox Live Gold-like paywall.

"We totally believe that we want to provide more functionality and more services and more content on the network. And so we are looking at how we are going to structure that," he said.

"And we are not ready to talk about that."
