WWE 2K brand announced for multiple formats, WWE ’14 coming Autumn 2013

WWE ’14 will appear under the new WWE 2K brand, following a multi-year licensing deal between 2K Games and developer Yuke's.

The multi-year deal was announced by 2K Games in a statement sent to VG247 this morning. The game marks the beginning of a multi-year deal between 2K Games, the WWE and Japanese developer Yuke's. The announcement follows Take-Two's acquisition of the brand, after the THQ auction last month.

2K's statement confirms that the series will continue to be developed by Yuke's in Japan, and that the 2K sports brand will ensure authenticity and polish in WWE '14.

“The WWE series is a great addition to our stable of triple-A titles, and we’re very happy with this exclusive agreement with our new partners,” said David Ismailer, CEO fat 2K. “We look forward to capturing the excitement of WWE and marrying it with the same commitment to authenticity and entertainment that we give to our NBA 2K and MLB 2K franchises.”
