See Watch Dogs’ free-roaming gameplay here

Do you want another look at the live gameplay demo of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs shown at today’s PlayStation Meeting? If so, you should click “more.”

Here I have two versions of the Watch Dogs demo, one with commentary and one without. You can probably get the gist of what is going on in the un-commentaried edition, but if you’d like some more insight straight from the devs, the commentary is quite useful.

The tearing is ridiculous though, especially when it’s running on PC. And it has been confirmed that it ran on PC there.

I saw screen tear :p Actually, the Ubisoft man on the GT post-show confirmed when questioned, that the presentation of Watch Dogs was running on a PC at similar spec to the announced for the new console, because, although they have the game running on PS4 at the UM offices, they did not reckon it reliably stable for public demonstration purposes, yet.

Another cool thing that came to light, last night about Watch Dogs: On the post-show, they pointed out that there was another player present in that seemingly single-player sequence.
Much like in an Assassin’s Creed (where you would be tasked to pursue another player “target” whose goal it was to evade suspicion) that was the goal of another player, here. To identify, pursue and try to stop Hayden Pierce!

Except that the Multiplayer in this game will work together with singleplayer – akin to Journey, for instance – although, they’re designing the interactions mindful to limit griefing. The rep very much left the impression on GT, that players would have control of their participation in this aspect of play.

Gameplay seen was part of the free-roam open-world experience, not a specific mission. Ubi didn’t want to interrupt the play pacing by having people stop. form up in lobbies, etc is the reason for this hybrid style they will use.

@7 That’s all cool,but I’m still hoping for a solid,classic single-player experience.

And did you guys noticed the saxophon musician that hastely packs his stuff when the action comes into play? Awesome stuff :-)

Jesus, not another guy doing the Adam Jensen/Rorschach/Batman routine.

I can’t listen to that shit without thinking about this.

@11, Somebody should do a falsetto voice just for kicks.

They should just get the guy from Bastion and Resonance. He sounds like a badass without having to awkwardly change his voice.
