HMV to close 37 more stores, 464 staff affected – full closure list here

HMV and administrators Deloitte have today announced that they close another 37 stores amid efforts to restructure the business.

MCV reports that 464 staff will lose their jobs as a result of the closures. It follows the announcement of 66 stores facing the chop earlier this month, bringing the full count of axed sites to 103.

At least Maidstone and Canterbury are hanging in there. But I went in at the tail end of last week and they are still far too expensive. But they have no competition on the high street bar Cex :(

Ah balls….Southport branch closing. Means one less interesting store to browse in and buy nothing from.
