Watch Dogs Wii U listed by GameStop, Amazon & Best Buy

Tuesday, 19th February 2013 10:42 GMT By Dave Cook

Watch Dogs could be heading to Wii U, according to a product page listed by GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy.

The listing comes as GameStop promotional material listed Watch Dogs for release on “all home consoles” last week. See it here.

GameStop also uses the promotional material unearthed last week. Thanks Eurogamer.

However,GameStop has now listed the game specifically for Wii U, pricing pre-orders at $59.99. No release date has been given.

Amazon also have Watch Dogs listed for Wii U, as do Best Buy.

Do you think Watch Dogs will hit Wii U? Let us know below.

Thanks Nintendo Life.

are they crazy?… first they squeeze it down from the ps4 to ps3 and then they yet again do another squeeze. the game will look and run horrible. it is a well known fact that the wii-u hardware is not up to the powers of the ps3/x360.

The WiiU version of NFS outperforms 360 and PS3 versions:

The WiiU’s extra RAM will help considerably in Watchdogs, so if handled correctly it could seriously outperform the other console versions.

    @3, Nope, it won’t.

the only reason why NFS outperforms 360 and PS3 is because it was more polished on the WiiU. It’s been almost a year since WiiU received a port. Other ports are inferior to PS3 and 360. Fact.

and Extra Ram won’t help a shit. Since when Dynamic random-access memory can help a port?

Ahh well, it’s Gadszooks, probably a programmer. LOL

You are such a staggeringly ignorant moron. It beggars belief.

Do some research: Streaming/decompression, processor time and bandwidth used to stream, and how more RAM = less streaming required, as well as higher quality textures with potentially no code changes.

As always the facts are calling you a twat, right to your face.

you are correct my friend, but i guess it is hard for these nintendo fanboys to read the facts and accept them.

    You are:

    A) Wrong.

    and

    B) A trolling piece of excrement.

I don’t even own any Nintendo products.

Don’t comment on what you don’t understand.

It’s well known Erthazus is a console troll, PC fanboy that has nothing better to do with his life than regurgitate text bile over anything he has little to no knowledge of. Fact.

In its launch, the Wii U ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Assassin’s Creed III run comparatively with the XBOX 360 versions and superior to the PS3 versions, and that’s launch titles. The Wii U version of NFS was also said to be superior to the 360/PS3 not due to polish but that it’s based on the PC version and has that nice RAM advantage. Continue to troll, Erth, you are succeeding well. Almost as good as PS3fanboy.

Well there are gamers, then are those with a version of Buyers Stockholme Syndrome. I’m sure it’ll run well because of the extra RAM available, as well as engine tweaks and Wii-U owners out there will enjoy it. But pissing all over code and an engine you know zero about won’t make it better or worse. For the love of all things furry just enjoy a game on its on merits instead of the device you choose to play it on.

I hope this game will run well on de WiiU. If it does, I will buy it on the WiiU, simply because I love the controller so much. If not, the PC version will be mine.
I am very much looking forward to this game.

(and I am gonna bash PS4 just a little bit: My videocard (HD7950 OC) kicks the hell out of the PS4.. I can understand that Nintendo gives out a console.. it will sell. Zelda and Mario makes sure of it.. But why would Sony want to release a console that is under-par with current hardware. Oh well)
