Gears of War: Judgment has leaked online, well ahead of its March 19th US launch.

Distributed by abgx360 (I won’t link them here), the code was snapped by intrepid blogger AGB:

This will surely get Microsoft’s feathers ruffled once they find out.

Another Microsoft exclusive, leaking a month before release. While they tout the security of their online service, games published and released on their console takes a battering once again.

Don’t get your point. These games leak from retailers, Microsoft has no control over that.

Next-Gen consoles should be focusing on getting rid of piracy rather than this used game stuff they are trying to do.

The fun in Gears is online and co-op, which you can’t do with these pirated copies of Gear unless you wanna get banned.
Its still gonna sell more copies than the best PS3 exclusives.

#7 – don’t be so sure. I worked in a large DVD distribution centre and witnessed movies being bagged and taken home.

Besides, the image you see in the article confirms that the copy of the game has passed stealth check, meaning it can be played online without any worries. Of course, it’s up to the person whether they want to go online now and get caught, or wait 3-4 weeks and play online amongst a million others.

As long as their firmware isn’t outdated and the game has passed the stealth check, you will be playing online with people who spent as little as 50c to download and copy the game.

its microsoft and what ever they do the pirates are two steps ahead. we know now that the new xbox, will have constant online drm. in a desperate effort to fight piracy. as usual these brainwashed fat americans will claim it is a better online service. than sony and say its worth paying for. even if they will have two pay microsoft to get access to nexflix, that everyone else have free access to. or be constant online with a crappy online connection…

    @10 Yes.

    #10 – it’s news because:

    1. It’s an Xbox 360 exclusive
    2. It has been leaked a month prior to launch
    3. It is yet ANOTHER Xbox 360 exclusive leaked a month prior to launch

Clearly there is a problem as it has been a trend for quite some time. How is it that exclusives are leaked 4+ weeks before launch yet multi-platform titles tend to leak within 7 days of launch?

Yawn…. is this news or just something that is only being talked about because of the brand? big title games get leaked no matter what. Might as well have this be a continuing post because ALMOST everything game/movie/music is leaked on the internet before it’s official release date.

    Yes.

Nothing new. Console Pirates have no honor. They usually always break the Retail Date. Most console games get a pirate version released 2-3 weeks before the official release date.

@7 We only account for what would amount to less than 5% of sales. Used games is a much bigger problem but they shouldn’t be stopping used games.

@15 Publishers have no honor, so why should we?
