Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey funded on Kickstarter, stretch goals announced

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey has met its funding goal, developer Red Thread Games announced on Kickstarter. The goal was met with 21 days to go with 13,103 backers pledging $854,201 towards the $800,000 goal. A $900,000 stretch goal has been added, which will ensure the release of Mac and Linux versions, and the $950,000 goal will include the Loremaster. Should funding hit $1 million, the length of the of the game will be extended. More stretch goals will be announced as funding progresses. A new video message from the team is through the link.

    Here Funcom are getting money thrown on them and they are going to piss it away on a MAC and Linux version…MIND BLOWING!

    The economical smart thing would be to get it on iOS and Android.

    But then again these are people that are used to use invested money and just destroy what they make in the progress….

    @1: Pay closer attention – Funcom isn’t involved in this. I know people looove to hate them, but they aren’t responsible for this.

    @2: The Longest Journey is, yes. Dreamfall is pretty awful.

    What the hell is with stretch goals, i feel like they are kind of offensive, i can understand ok you hit your goal earlier and faster than intended, but why try to start squeezing people for more money? Why not ask for what you need to begin with?
