Spy Hunter movie trundles along, signs new director

Spy Hunter is still getting the movie treatment apparently. Warner Bros. has just signed up a new director for the flick.

Gangster Squad director Ruben Fleischer is now helming the project, says Deadline. The site adds that The script is being penned by Carter Blanchard. The Godzilla reboot's Dan Lin and Roy Lee will produce.

I can't help but question why this is happening. What do you think?
