Pokemon Rumble U announced for Wii U Spring release

Pokemon Rumble U is the first game in the series to hit Wii U. It launches in Japan from Spring, but Japanese magazine CoroCoro has shed some details on the title.

ONM reports that the digital-only eShop game will feature the first five generations of Pokemon, accounting for some 649 creatures.

Supporting up to four players at once, the game sees gamers commanding a squad of up to 100 toy Pokemon and navigating them through enemies. Almost like Pikmin, it seems.

There's no word on a Western release yet, but we'll update once we know more.
