Call of Duty Championship ANZ qualifiers start March 2

Australian and New Zealand Black Ops 2 players can get on board the $1 million Call of Duty Championship in qualifiers beginning next month.

The Australian Cyber League will host the first qualifiers on March 2 and 3, ahead of a live event final in Sydney on March 15. The online qualifiers are open to both Australian and New Zealand teams, with seven passing onto the final, but a further, New Zealand-only qualifier will produce an eighth team. All teams will win a trip to Sydney to compete should it be necessary.

The top two teams from the Sydney event will be sent to the Championship in Los Angeles, competing with eight teams from the MLG's Winter Championship and eight teams from the ESL's European Finals, as well as teams from Asian and Brazil.

Registration and full details will be made available via the ACL's website on February 13.

The Call of Duty Championship takes place in Los Angeles from April 5 though 7.
