The Walking Dead Season Two may be tied in with TV show

TellTale's award-winning The Walking Dead series is drawn from the comics rather than the TV show and stars all new characters, but the developer hasn't ruled out the possibility of some sort of interaction between the two adaptations.

"There's nothing saying our characters couldn't cross over with their characters at some point in the timeline. It's a very interesting concept for us," TellTale CEO Dan Connors told Polygon.

one of the best things about the first season's success is the way people would complain about the wait and then drop everything for new episodes, and TellTale wants to keep that spirit alive moving forward.

"A huge goal for us is what happens between episodes. How do you carry the experience through? How do you use this ability we have to keep people engaged and talking," he said.

TellTale is investigating how it can keep players connected to each other and to the game between episodes; perhaps tying in with the ongoing TV series somehow would do it.

As for what's in store in season Two, Connors said "anything is possible" and Telltale is still in the planning stage.

The Walking Dead was licensed directly from the franchise owners, rather than from AMC's TV series, as Terminal Reality's first-person survival game was.
