Final Fantasy Type-0 being translated by fans impatient for Western release

Final Fantasy Type-0 is supposed to be kickass, which makes Square-Enix’s reluctance to release it in theWest more of a mystery. Well, some gamers have grown fed up of waiting, and are translating the game to English. The group has released its first footage of the port in action.

Kotaku reports that the group is currently localising the game for the West and is tracking their progress via this forum thread.

Here’s some footage of what they’ve accomplished so far:

Would you like to see the game given a proper Western release? Let us know below.

valkyria chronicles 3 also has a Fan translation that is pretty close to release. (Story, character quests and Menus are already translated and they Ar currently implementing and debugging stuff) i hope, this Fan translation gets released soon. it’s pretty much of a mystery, square doesn’t release it for PSP and vita in the west. if it ever comes, i’ll definately buy it in psn store.

inb4 cease and desist.

FFVII Crisis Core and that PSP Kingdom Hearts game are still MIA on PSN so i doubt Squeenix will ever bring this west.

Well, while I don’t quite understand this logic, people think games that are older than a month or a year are too old and won’t sell anything.
This leads to SE not releasing Crisis Core again via PSN store, even though people even demand it for their Vita, or Konami not releasing Suikoden I and II in EU or II in the US, even though used copys of those two games sell for redicilous prices on ebay and Amazon, or Bamco to release only the bad successor Xenosaga Episode II and not episode I, because a (at that time) 3 year old game wouldn’t sell.

I forgot to post this at my first post. Here is the link to the promising Valkyira Chronicles 3 translation project: http://vc3translationproject.wordpress.com/
