Rayman Legends to receive “new, exclusive demo” on Wii U to quell delay frustrations

Saturday, 9th February 2013 14:40 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Ubisoft will provide a new, exclusive demo for Rayman Legends on Wii U. The demo is an apology of sorts for the game’s delay on the system, in order to give it a simultaneous release on all platforms. “We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game,” said the firm on its Facebook page. “We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.” Rayman Legends is to be released in September on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

I don’t think anyone will be happy until the game itself is released. No throwing of tiny bones will do.

These third party developers make me sick. If the game is fucking done on the Wii U, just release it as planned.

Ubisoft never had a problem releasing the PC version of a game months after the console version is release, so I fail to see why the Wii U version has to be release when 360 and PS3 versions are ready?

So this is there answer….. an exclusive demo, that we will probably have 5 times to try it out before they lock it out on us?

    Fucking Ubisoft….

omg, this is hilarious, because this new Demo just make the Upset People more Upset.

I thought Ubisoft have enough Experience in handling Angry People, but they Really are not able to Learn from Mistakes.

@4 Thats BS, Rayman Origins was not a big seller on the Xbox 360. Ubisoft should have just skipped the 360 version and release it now for the Wii U and in the fall for the PS3 and Vita.

This is a joke. Seriously F*ck Microsoft if this is true. I’m never supporting one of their systems again. PS4 + Wii U all day.

@4 GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Bully, Guitar Hero II, Virtua Fighter 5, No More Heroes. All those games were exclusives at one point and ported to the 360 (in NMH’s case port in Japan). I doubt Microsoft will refuse to allow this game to be released later on. They have the right to refuse it, doesn’t mean they’ll do it.

From a Nintendo standpoint, Ubi Soft really did fuck over the Gamecube with sub standard ports (Splinter Cell sticks in the mind) then they ported shit over to the Wii now they choose to halt the one game I was looking forward to coming out next month!

You know what, Ubi Soft? Shove it up your fucking ass, take your Assassin’s Creed, your Zombi U and your Rayman games, get your pots and pans and get the fuck out of Nintendo’s kitchen.

It’s a shitty thing to do, period. And it’s all Ubisoft. I know blaming Microsoft is a popular thing to do around here, but that just blinds out the facts (unless MS really is involved, of course). MS would be stupid to refuse the publication of any of Ubi’s titles. It makes no sense. They’d be leaving a lot of money on the table. Having a single marketing push makes more sense, and it’s only good for Ubisoft, from a bean-counting perspective. It’s certainly not good for PR, or WiiU owners.
