Aliens: Colonial Marines Contact trailer now slightly longer

Friday, 8th February 2013 02:54 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Aliens: Colonial Marines comes out next week. It is time to get on the hype train. Tickets are free; simply board at platform four, which can be found through the break.

This is an extended cut of the popular Contact trailer, and shows our titular soldiers fighting through the USS Sulaco, to a soundtrack courtesy of Golden Globe nominated composer Clint Mansell.

Aliens: Colonial Marines releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 12, and hits Wii U in March. It looks set to offer plenty of DLC, made cheaper by a possible season pass, which Gearbox also offered for Borderlands 2.

When is the review embargo lifted? I’m guessing its well after pre orders have been sent, right? I dont see the problem with people who got the game early giving their impressions, they arent publishing scored reviews.

RE the trailer – it’s ok but nothing that wows me. Music by Clint Mansell is always a winner and probably the best thing about it.

RE the game, I will be hugely surprised if it actually lives up to the expectations I’m sure a lot of people have. I’m definitely waiting for reviews and other opinions on the full game.

I reckon a re-skinned Amnesia with Aliens ship surroundings and a scavenged motion sensor as your only companion would make a far better Aliens game than an action, shooter sort.
