Walking Dead: Survival Instinct ‘Herd Mode’ DLC announced for pre-orders

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is getting DLC. The ‘Walker Herd Survival Pack’ will be made available exclusively to GAME and GameStop Ireland pre-order customers.

Activision sent VG247 a statement that confirmed the DLC’s contents:

“In this exclusive DLC pack you will have access to the all-new Herd Mode where you need to fight for survival against endless waves of walkers. The dead need no rest – will you?

“In addition, fight off walkers in the story mode with a new arsenal of melee weapons including a survival knife, sawtoothed machete, kukri, reinforced hatchet and advanced machete.

“With ammo scarce and the undead attracted to loud noises, a sharp, silent blade might just be your most trusted companion (note: a new game must be started to access the extra weapons).”

You say ‘herd mode’, I say ‘horde mode’ – ‘tomatos’, ‘tomatoes’ and all that jazz.

The game is out at some point in March. No DLC pricing for non pre-order customers was announced.
