The Last of Us Post-Pandemic Edition sold out

The Last of Us doesn’t launch for three more months, but one of its two special editions has already completely sold out in the US. The Post-Pandemic Edition is no longer available for pre-order, Sony has announced, but you can still grab the Survival Edition. The PlayStation 3 exclusive is due on May 7, and can be pre-ordered here; the store still offers the Post-Pandemic Edition as an option, but as Ni No Kuni taught us, inventory updates can take a while to reach digital storefronts. VG247 went hands-on with The Last of Us recently and discovered an unusual take on stealth survival.

I was actually thinking about importing the Survival Edition from the US, but then realised that the DLC codes must be bound to US PlayStation Store. I’d be buying it mostly for the full-size artbook anyways, but I’m not sure it’s worth 95€ (total given by Amazon.com, express deliver to Finland last I checked). Then there’s the localization stuff, that it might connect you to US servers in multiplayer and such.

It’s a shame we got the crap limited edition here in Europe. Speaking of which, I’m not seeing that anywhere yet.

Survival edition is limited as well huh? Good thing I pre ordered it when I did. Much better than the crappy EU versions we’ve been lumped with ;P

Hey, don’t blame the messenger; Sony said it’s sold out, not me. I’ve updated the article to point out the blindingly obvious fact that storefronts don’t always update as quickly as they should.

I’d say thanks for the typo spot but it was kind of rude so I’m actually not thankful.

Ya sorry been a bit crankey today. From what I have gathered it went on sale the 23rd, Sold out on the 24th and came back in stock the 25th(Rumor that it got limited to 3 per order and a bunch were canceled).

You can buy them on ebay bidding starts at 200 its worth it since the statue is worth 200 by itself
