Id Software co-founder launches Kickstarter for dev tools

Tom Hall, one of Id Software’s founders and the creator of Commander Keen, has debuted a new project on Kickstarter. Called Worlds of Wander, it’s a platformer creation tool designed for making precisely the kinds of games Commander Keen fans love. Hall is seeking $400,000 for the suite of tools and a game built with it, called Secret Spaceship Club. It’s the industry veteran’s second go at crowdfunding following an aborted attempt at an old-school RPG with colleague Brenda Romero.
