Dead Island has sold over 5 million units worldwide
Dead Island has sold over 5 million units worldwide as of its September 2011 release, Deep Silver has announced. The achievement includes sales from both the retail and digital editions. Dead Island Riptide is the next installment in the franchise and will be released on April 23 in North American and on April 26 in European countries.

‘As of’? Don’t you mean ‘since’?
Also, that’s actually surprising. Despite the CGI trailer, all the gameplay videos were highly unattractive, the critics bashed its mediocrity and word of mouth couldn’t have helped the game. I’m kind of curious how they managed to sell so much.

Actually even not in co-op I enjoyed the game. Actually I would say it is very good game. Maybe it is becasue I played the GOTY version, but the melee felt nice, shooting was adequate, actually I like how it felt, because it gave you some sense that you not some marine. Yes this creates plotholes with the weapon specialized characters, but roll with it. The atmosphere and locations were nice. More variations in the zomby types and better human AI would have been nice. As of annoying/game-breaking bugs I didn’t find any.

Most games are “good” in one way or another, but
very few make the jump to awesome.
